Ben's Story
All too often it’s the practitioner who gets all the information about the client, and the client ends up
knowing very little about the practitioner and his/her practice. I would like to change that by sharing
with you a little bit about myself.
My name is Benjamin Brown. I am the eldest of four children, and I was born in a small town called
Cooma in the NSW Snowy Mountains. I studied at Macquarie University and I graduated in 2002. I
am currently in the final stages of a PhD in which I have been investigating the beneficial effects of
N.E.T (a mind-body chiropractic technique) for individuals suffering from an under-active thyroid
gland.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy keeping fit and healthy
through martial arts, yoga, and mountain bike riding. I like to unwind by cooking, playing guitar,
singing and reading.
As a teenager, I had unfortunately developed a debilitating pain in my
lower back. Being unable to do the things that I loved, I decided to
seek help from the local chiropractor. Not knowing anything about chiropractic at the time, I wasn’t sure what was going to happen, and I was uncertain whether or not
chiropractic treatment could help me. After a short series of treatments, the pain in my back completely
vanished, along with any uncertainty about the effectiveness of chiropractic. It was this sequence
of events which inspired me to become a health practitioner. Today, I receive ongoing
inspiration through witnessing the positive results in the clients who visit my clinic.
I’ve chosen to devote my professional life to the healing arts because I want to help people to achieve
a level of health that is beyond what they themselves believe to be possible. When I began my journey
as a teenager suffering from spinal pain, I did not understand that my enjoyment of life was so
closely related to my health. I am thankful for all the people whose knowledge and experience have
lead to me to where I am now. I have overcome the back pain that plagued me as a teenager, and I
have grown personally through my healing experience. It brings me great joy to be able to pass on
the gift that changed my life. My hope is that it can do the same for you.
I believe that the body knows, and will give signals as to what is required to restore balance.
The body, when guided and allowed to find this balance, has the capacity to heal
any disease or illness.
I maintain a strong belief in how I practice, and I am constantly thinking of new ways to make it better. I believe I give a thorough, quality service. I want to help people, especially those who are looking to improve and
learn more about their own health.
My purpose is to highlight that life can be so much more fulfilling when and you
are healthy. My aim is to help people to experience what is possible, so that they themselves may be inspired to gain
mastery of their health and well-being.
My personal promise to you is that I will guide and work with you to discover your potential for
health, happiness and well-being.
