'How do I find the clinic?'

The clinic address is listed below:

Unit 1, 4 Hillview Rd

Eastwood, NSW  2122

If you are having trouble finding the clinic, just give us a call we will guide you to the clinic:

Ph: (02) 9804 1414

Mob: 0438 475 949

The clinic entrance is just to the left of a toy store called 'Morning Glory'

'I'm coming by car, where can I park?'

There are a number of free car parking stations around the area. The car parking stations are coloured in red in the diagram above (entrances indicated). The two main car parking stations are 2 -3 hr parking depending on which level you choose.

For weekday parking the two main car parks are best.

For weekend parking the free railway parking at the top of the map on West Pde and up to Railway Ave are preferable.

There are half hour - one hour parking spots directly out the front of the clinic. These are great if you can get them, however the council parking officers are very strict in the Eastwood area...

Eastwood is a busy little community for fruit and vegetable shopping, so it is best to allow yourself at least 15 minutes to find a park when you get to Eastwood.

'Is there public transport close to the clinic?'

The clinic is situated directly across from Eastwood train station. The new Epping to Chatswood rail link is just one station up from Eastwood. The bus coverage to the Eastwood area is also very good.

You can jump on the the transport web sites below and find the best way to get to the clinic:

City Rail

Sydney Buses

'Can I bring my children with me to my appointment?'

Children, family members, and friends can sit in on your appointment if you wish. You are welcome to bring strollers/prams into the clinic and there are plenty of toys and books to keep young children entertained for the length of an appointment.

'How long are the treatments?'

The Initial Consultation is 60 minutes in duration.

Any Subsequent Consultations are 30 minutes in duration.

'What types of payment do you prefer?'

Payment is due on the day that the treatment is received. There are no up front fees, and clients do not have to pay in advance for a course of treatment.

Clients can pay for their consultations using EFTPOS, credit card or cash.

Note: Credit cards attract a surcharge of $3.00 per transaction.

'Is chiropractic treatment covered by private health insurance?'

Almost all of the private health insurers cover chiropractic treatment. However, you will have to check to see if you have chosen health cover that includes chiropractic treatment. The amount that you receive back from your health fund differs from fund to fund. Some funds are more generous than others in this respect.

The clinic is equipped with the HICAPS facility, which allows clients with private health insurance to claim the benefit from their private health insurer at the time of their consultation. Which means no more waiting in line at your health fund!

What does an initial consultation involve?

On the initial consultation Ben will take a thorough history and perform a physical examination. During the history taking process, Ben will ask questions about your current complaint and go through a medical history. This process usually takes about 5 - 10 minutes. Any items such as X-rays, MRI's, CT scans, and any other diagnostic information will be examined after the history has been taken.

A physical examination is performed after the history. The physical examination will involve a series of observations, orthopedic, neurological, and chiropractic tests. The examination is based on the information obtained from the history. This process usually takes about 10 - 20 minutes.

Report of Findings

The report of findings is an explanation of what was found during the history and physical examination. Ben will explain the steps involved in helping you with your complaint. Ben will also go through an informed consent procedure to make sure that fully understand what will be happening during the treatment process.

Treatment will usually follow the report of findings, unless an immediate referral to another health care practitioner or additional diagnostic information is required.

'Is there any thing I need to do before coming to see Ben?'

It is important that client's are well hydrated before treatment. Clients are advised to drink at least 500ml of water 1 hour before the treatment.

It is helpful if you bring any information that may be relevant to your complaint eg. X-rays, MRI's, and CT scans to your first consultation.

You are advised to wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing to your consultations.
